Badminton ist nach dem englischen Geburtsort des Herzogs von Beaufort benannt und zählt zu den schnellsten Rückschlagsportarten. Bei dieser Sportart werden physische Fähigkeiten wie Schnelligkeit, Ausdauer, Koordination, Beweglichkeit und Kraft sowie psychische Fähigkeiten wie Konzentration und Reaktionsschnelligkeit trainiert. Fast alle Muskelgruppen und Gelenke sowie das Herz-Kreislauf-System sind beansprucht.
Badminton wird in Hohenheim vorrangig unter freizeitsportlichem Aspekt gespielt. Dennoch wird bei den Fortgeschrittenen hart um Punkte und Spiele gekämpft.
Freude und Spaß am technisch richtigen Spiel sind das Ziel dieses Kurses; bei Bedarf erhält man Tipps und Anleitung.

The objective of the course is to have fun while using proper technique during play; if necessary, tips and instructions are given.
